Ayurvedic Massage

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda was created in India for more than 5,000 years ago and has been the oldest medical science of the world. AYURVEDA means “the science of healthful life”. Unlike the traditional medicine, the Ayurveda works focusing in the health, recovering the causes of the diseases and not only its symptoms.

The five elements are the base of the Ayurveda: EARTH – WATER – AIR – FIRE – SPACE
Each element has your own vibration. According to the combination of these elements, the three forces that govern all the nature are born:  vata, pitta and kapha.

In each body these three forces exist and following its proportion, the dominant one determines the physical and emotional structure of the person. When this proportion is unbalanced the disease appears.

The objective of the Ayurveda is to restore the balance between vata, pitta and kapha of each person. This balance depends of the digestive process that is the base of our health.

The Ayurvedic Massage

Originated in India, the Ayurvedic Massage uses different techniques of a deep relaxation for each type of personality. It acts in body to relax the mind and to balance the emotions.
According to the constitution of each person we manipulate all the body or a specific area of the body, by using personalized manipulations, techniques and aromatic oils.
This massage is indicated for all people. Although it can treat specific problems, the massage acts also preventing diseases.

There are diverse techniques of massage within the Ayurveda, which can be combined in a unique session:

YÓGUIC MASSAJE: skeletal and muscular manipulation. It acts at physical level, relieving rigidities and muscular tensions.

CLASSICAL ABHYANGAM: Manipulations with essential oils that eliminate the physical fatigue and muscular pains relax the mind and activate the circulation.

PRANA CHIKITSA: It balances the emotions and the vital energy, to make it flow correctly and to nourish all the cells of the body. As well, it acts on muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, digestive and emotional systems. Oils and aromatic essences are used.

KAYA-KALP: Application of warm herbal mix on points of energy of the body. Utilize diverse herbal resources in the skin for the internal and external beauty.
